I purchased the knee pads 5 seasons ago as I was worrying about my knees while snowboarding. This is a great investment. The pads feel comfortable on my legs (fortunately, snowboarding pants always have extra room, so the fit is seamless) and very protected after falling a couple of times on high speed. Once a skier crashed into me, her ski edge hit my knee and ripped my pants. However, I barely felt any impact , which is another compliment for these Demon knee pads. I guess D3O is what makes these knee pads so good, I have one of the old Demon back and butt protection sets (Leviathan series), which is cool looking but the foam in it provides much less protection comparing to D3O.
